RadEqual fosters networking and mentorship opportunities for leaders in radiology, informatics, and IT management of radiology systems.
An initiative driven by Dr. Geraldine McGinty, and Intelerad, RadEqual kicked off with its first in-person gathering at the RSNA Conference in November 2016. Since then, a steering committee was developed comprising thought leaders in the industry. Radequal has executed partnerships with key professional societies, the American Association for Women in Radiology and the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine. Programming has included online and in-person events centered on building community and educating on topics related to leadership and career building. The broader RadEqual community has grown to over 200 strong members all interested in increasing diversity within the various disciplines related to medical imaging.
